Women's Mininisties

Our goal is to unite women that currently attend Toney UMC of all ages and stages and minister to women who live in our community who may or may not have a church home.

Days and Times for Meetings as of November 2009:

Sunday evenings - 5-6 p.m. informal get together for moms who bring their children to Youth and Faith Weavers, all women are welcome. We will meet in the library, and discuss the sermon given that morning, Please bring light refreshments.

Wednesday mornings following the Wed. Morning Bible Study from 10-12am ‘The Finishing Touch’, women are encouraged to bring any unfinished projects be it needlework, photo albums, quilting etc. or you can learn from those who are there. Please bring light refreshment. We will try to provide childcare once we know how many will need that.

Wednesday nights at the beginning of the New Year we will begin separate studies for the women and men, possibly Captivating for the women and Wild at Heart for the men both by John Eldridge.

Saturdays (once a month)

December 5th – Christmas Party at Leslie Christophers’ (Gab and Grab)

2010 – Ideas for Saturdays (please share your ideas as well):

January - Women’s Ministry Kick off – Formal Tea at the church

February - Marriage Enrichment Event at the church

March - Slumber Party (someone’s home)

April - Bowling

May - Movie Night at church (i.e. Chondra Pierce)

June - Texas Bridge at church

July - Pool Party

August – Ice Skating includes room with a fireplace

September – Retreat

October - Homemaking (Sharing recipes, etc., we will have a special guest)

November - Coffee House Concert at the church

December - Christmas Party

There will of course be opportunities for outreaches determined by your surveys.
